VoiceInteraction is participating in the SAVAS (Sharing Audio Visual language resources for Automatic Captioning) project, financed by the 7th European Commission Framework Programme, which will last for 24 months.

The SAVAS project will collect text and audiovisual resources produced in six European languages (Spanish, Basque, Portuguese, Italian, French and German). The resulting repositories will be annotated at several levels (including spelling) in a way suitable to training acoustic and language models for later use in large vocabulary conversational speech recognition systems (LVCSR). The resources annotated under the scope of the project will be shared with the rest of the community through the creation of a local META-SHARE repository.
